The Big Collision
July 8, 2023
Have you ever seen a collision or at least images of a collision? Most of the time they are not planned, and they create an awful mess. I have seen restaurant servers collide at the kitchen door and food and dishes go everywhere. I recently watched my dog, Cassie, chasing a squirrel and she collided with a tree, and it almost knocked her out. Thankfully she made a full recovery and is back chasing squirrels.
What about the timing of things that happen in our life? Our timing collides with God’s timing, and it can become a mess. Look at John 7:8, “You go up to the feast. I am not going up to this feast, for my time has not yet fully come.” Jesus was instructing His disciples of the importance of God’s timing. This is the “Big Collision”, when our plans collide with Gods’ plan and turns everything upside down. There are many things that can fit into this category of a “Big Collision” like finances, health, job, relationships, to name a few. So today is your “big day” and you may have plans and a schedule of events already on the calendar. But, let me encourage you to always be ready for two things in life, the unexpected and God’s Grace. The unexpected things in life allow God to shower His Grace upon you and those who are connected to you. This Grace from God gives us the hope to carry on even when we face adversity and allows the world to see God’s Grace and our Faith in full action as a testimony to the Goodness of God. The “Big Collision” shows us that God’s timing is perfect even if it happens on your birthday. Be faithful and enjoy your big day, Happy Birthday may God Bless as His Grace collides with you daily.
