Feed Yourself Wisely

By their fruits you will know them. Do you gather grapes from thorns or figs from thistles?

What are you feeding yourself? What do you think on? Meaning what are you reading, what are you listening to? What are you watching? What do you spend time on thinking about?

Is it something that causes worry and fear? Is it something that is of no real benefit to you? Is it leading you to sin? We have so many resources available to us through many avenues on our phones, on our computers, the list goes on! These avenues can be of good use to us or many times consume our thoughts and affect us in negative ways. We may not always think about what we are allowing into our thoughts. We tend to rationalize what we are “Feeding” ourselves is fine, it will not affect me at all. but the truth is God wants us to protect ourselves from negative and impure things that affect our thoughts and actions. He wants us to feed ourselves with good things. Philippians 4:8 says to “whatever is true, whatever is noble, whatever is right, whatever is pure, whatever is lovely, whatever is admirable—if anything is excellent or praiseworthy—think about such things”. When we feed ourselves the opposite it is like feeding on Thornbushes and Thistles which have no benefit to us. No fruit will be produced in your life when we feed on or think on such things. Start today by feeding on the good things like His Word! A good tree bears good fruit, and a bad tree bears bad fruit. When you feed on good fruit, they will see Jesus in you, and they will recognize Him in your life by the fruit you are producing.
