Promise of a Rainbow

September 15, 2023

Genesis 9:13-15
I set my rainbow in the cloud, and it will be a sign of a covenant between me and the earth. 14 When I bring a cloud over the earth, that the rainbow will be seen in the cloud, 15 I will remember my covenant, which is between me and you and every living creature of all flesh, and the waters will no more become a flood to destroy all flesh

Happy Birthday! Praying that your special day is truly special. Most of life consists of ups and downs- great, special days and some not-so-great days. Until that glorious day when we are ushered into heaven, we will sometimes struggle. One way to enjoy the special days and to overcome those “down” days is to rely on God’s promises. Genesis 9 is God’s promise to Noah’s family (and all of mankind) that He will never again judge the earth via a flood. The rainbow is the sign of His promise.

I encourage you to find some special promises of God in the Scriptures and commit them to memory. The verses below are some of my special verses that confirm God’s love and sovereignty. You can search your Birthday Bible Verses for some good ones but don’t restrict yourself to just those verses. All Scripture is inspired by God so utilize many verses. If you would just read 1 promise verse a week you could probably memorize it by end of that week. That’s a lot of verses memorized in a year.

Here are some of my favorite promises from God Almighty. God is good all the time.

Feel free to share your verses on our FaceBook page – https://www.facebook.com/BirthdayBible/

Phil 1:6 – being confident of this very thing, that he who began a good work in you will complete it until the day of Jesus Christ.

John 1:12 – But as many as received him, to them he gave the right to become God’s children, to those who believe in his name:

Zephaniah 3:17 – Yahweh, your God, is among you, a mighty one who will save. He will rejoice over you with joy. He will calm you in his love. He will rejoice over you with singing.

Ephesians 3:20-21  – 20 Now to him who is able to do exceedingly abundantly above all that we ask or think, according to the power that works in us, 21 to him be the glory in the assembly and in Christ Jesus to all generations forever and ever. Amen.
