The Romans Road

Romans 3:23 – for all have sinned, and fall short of the glory of God;
Romans 6:23 – For the wages of sin is death, but the free gift of God is eternal life in Christ Jesus our Lord.
Romans 5:8 – But God commends his own love toward us, in that while we were yet sinners, Christ died for us.
Romans 10:9-10 – that if you will confess with your mouth that Jesus is Lord, and believe in your heart that God raised him from the dead, you will be saved.10 For with the heart, one believes resulting in righteousness; and with the mouth confession is made resulting in salvation.
Romans 10:13 – For, “Whoever will call on the name of the Lord will be saved.”
Romans 10:9 is an important verse in the Romans Road. It’s sometimes interesting to take these verses apart and see them standing by themselves. We do need to confess with our mouths that Jesus is Lord and probably more than just at the point of our salvation too. We should often reflect on when we were saved from our sins. We should never take it for granted what Jesus did when He died on the cross for our sins! Yes, it is very easy to take that for granted and use our salvation as a basic form of fire insurance. Yes, we who are saved will not be going to hell. But let’s look around us and seek out those who do need the gift of salvation. Be friends with them and show Jesus to them in our lives. Continue to confess Jesus to other people. Jesus did die on the cross for our sins, but He also rose again and is living in us today.
