Beautiful People

Someone has said that “the best thing a father can do for his children is to love their mother.”  Every year when our children were to expect their first child, I cross stitched that quote for each of them.

A friend of mine says that he “typed in beautiful people” in a Google search. Here is what came up; gorgeous, glamorous people, cream of society, cultured class, jet set, and on and on. Then he typed in God’s criteria, and it is altogether different from which society assigns to beauty. God’s perspective is an emphasis on beauty from within. And He desires to cultivate it and display it in our lives. It will be the fruit of the Spirit that will cause you and me to radiate ultimate beauty…Love, joy, peace, long- suffering, kindness, goodness, faithfulness, gentleness, self-control. Galatians 5: 22-23. Do you desire to be a beautiful person? “Rather let it be the hidden person of the heart, with the incorruptible beauty of a gentle and quiet spirit, which is very precious in the sight of God.” 1 Peter 3:4

Remember that outer beauty, in the end, will fade. But the inner beauty that God gives will last forever. God always keeps His promises and is not done working with us – Being confident of this very thing, that he which hath begun a good work in you will perform it until the day of Jesus Christ Phil 1:6

The inner beauty that God gives will last forever. Strive to love your spouse, ask God for the fruits of the Spirit to be manifested so we can leave a legacy of love for future generations
