Every One

One of my favorite verses that make clear the core message of the Gospel is Romans 10:4. It says, “For Christ is the end of the law for righteousness to everyone who believes.” This is a short and powerful statement that summarizes a life changing truth.
Paul refers to the Mosaic law, a complex system of rules and regulations given to the Israelites. It was a guide for righteous living but also a stark reminder of our inability to meet God’s perfect standards. This same law exposes our sinfulness and need for a Savior.
Enter Christ—the fulfillment of the law’s purpose. Jesus, through His sinless life and sacrificial death, accomplished what the law could not. He became the ultimate source of righteousness for all who believe in Him. When we place our faith in Christ, His righteousness is accredited to us. We are no longer burdened by the impossibility of earning our own righteousness through rule-keeping.
This truth transforms our relationship with God. We are no longer slaves to the law but children of grace. We can approach God with confidence, knowing that our righteousness is not based on our works but on Christ’s finished work on the cross.
This verse is a reminder that the gospel is available to “everyone who believes.”
Every. One.
It is not limited to a select few but offered freely to all. Whether you’re a lifelong churchgoer or someone searching for meaning, the message remains the same: Christ is the answer to our need for righteousness.
So, let Romans 10:4 be a constant reminder of the liberating truth that in Christ, we find the end of striving for our own righteousness. We are made righteous by faith in Him, and through Him, we have access to the grace and love of God. Embrace this truth today and let it empower you in your faith!
