Daniel 3:28

Nebuchadnezzar spoke and said, “Blessed be the God of Shadrach, Meshach, and Abednego, who has sent his angel and delivered his servants who trusted in him, and have changed the king’s word, and have yielded their bodies, that they might not serve nor worship any god except their own God.

Happy birthday. Hopefully you will spend some time (even if it’s just a phone call) with family and friends today. Hopefully you have some amazing friends that stand by you no matter what happens. Your BBV tells the story of such friends.

3 Amigos. 3 Friends. 3 Besties. 3 men of God who stood up to the most powerful King of that era. When millions of others “bent the knee” to King Nebuchadnezzar, they DID NOT. They decided, together, to give up their lives to follow God’s commandment. There were no promises from God that He would deliver them. They had not yet read the end of the story to hear of God’s deliverance. They had a simple choice – Die a horrible death in a furnace or disobey God and worship another person.

3 Amigos. 3 Friends. 3 Besties. They stuck together and God honored their obedience with deliverance. On your birthday, make a pledge to God that you will do the same.

Ecclesiastes 4:12

If a man prevails against one who is alone, two shall withstand him; and a threefold cord is not quickly broken.
