1 Sacrifice = Eternal Perfection

In this passage Paul is writing to the Jewish people who believe in our Lord and Savior -Jesus Christ. In this verse he is telling the people that those who believe in Jesus Christ are now perfect in God’s sight. In verse 11 he explains that human offerings will never be enough to cover our sins, but in verse 12 he states that Jesus became the ultimate sacrifice to cover our sins. Paul is showing the Jews that nothing humans can do can take away our sins, but Jesus did that for them. That sacrifice covers us when they believe in Jesus. 

This touches me deeply because not only did Jesus do this for the Jews but for me and you. When we believe in Jesus’s death and resurrection we are being set apart as holy every day for the rest of our lives. Nothing I did or can do will make me imperfect in God’s eyes again. The one gift that Jesus gave me has changed my life forever.
