No Compromise

Exodus 10 is the 8th plague that Pharaoh’s hard heart brings on the Egyptians. It’s interesting to me that God continued to harden Pharaoh’s heart so that His power can be seen. God is not a God of compromise and in this chapter, Pharaoh continually releases parts of the demands made by Moses and Aaron on behalf of the Israelites. So, first Pharaoh says okay the men can leave and go worship God. Then Pharaoh says okay the women can go along but no animals. Moses and Aaron are not compromising on what God has told them to ask for. God demands all the Israelites and their animals be released. No compromises! I do find it a bit amusing that Moses and Aaron say all our livestock must go with us and not a hoof will be left behind. Wow now that’s a detail! But God is a God of details. Yes, He wants our hearts but He wants all of our heart, not just parts. It’s not an option to say I’ll commit this part of my heart and lifestyle but not that part. As we submit to His will wholeheartedly then He can bless us wholeheartedly!
