Can God be Hungry?

Mark 11:12   “The next day when they came out from Bethany, He (Jesus) was hungry.

      Why would I choose this verse?  It doesn’t really seem to say much. But when you dig into it, it is an awesome verse! Jesus was fully man and fully God. I do not think my mind can truly comprehend this. And to see His humanity of the feeling of hunger is just one way to confirm this human nature.  Have you ever felt hunger before? Of course, we all have. So, there is no doubt about that feeling. For Jesus to have experienced hunger shows more how he truly can understand our human nature. If you continue in Chapter 11 of Mark, you will see Jesus experience frustration as well; when he witnessed how the people treated the temple of God, His Father. The Bible also tells of Jesus crying, as He was sad after His friend Lazarus had died (John 11). So, there is no doubt in my mind he was fully human. But if you read earlier in chapter 11 of Mark, Jesus had just entered Jerusalem, riding on a donkey. He was fulfilling prophecy. The people treated Him like a king. Only to have the people turn on him in just a few days. Jesus was put to death on a cross like a criminal, died, buried and then three days later He rose from the dead! Fully God! Jesus demonstrated multiple times his humanity and by conquering death He declared His Deity. Fully Man and Fully God. We can trust Him with our lives. We can repent and turn to Jesus. The one who came to earth, not to condemn the world, but to save the world. Trust him today. He will save you. Then you will be full! Happy birthday
