3 Gifts

December 7, 2025

Romans 12:8
or he who exhorts, to his exhorting; he who gives, let him do it with generosity; he who rules, with diligence; he who shows mercy, with cheerfulness.

In Romans chapter 12 we are encouraged to live out our walk with Christ in humility and to use the spiritual gifts we have received through God’s Spirit to serve each other and the church. Verve 8 shows us 3 gifts and some keys to success when you operate in them. If you have the gift of encouragement, if you are a giver then operate in that gifting, give liberally! When you give, you are being someone in whom God provides resources for His Glory and his church. If your gift is leadership, then lead! do it with diligence! Find avenues for leadership at your church. lead a small group, start a prayer group. Pray and ask God to lead you in this! If you have the gift of mercy, then do it cheerfully! This gift needs cheerfulness. It can be hard enough to show mercy, but even harder to be cheerful about it. This reminds us that the gift of showing mercy is a supernatural gift of the Spirit.
