Undercover Boss
January 13, 2026
John 1:14 – The Word became flesh, and lived among us. We saw his glory, such glory as of the one and only Son of the Father, full of grace and truth.
This is a statement that shatters everything. The Creator, The God, The Holy One, He came near. He made His home among us and lived a life as we know it. Like an undercover boss, yet someone far mightier and far more loving. Not trying to hide who He was nor why He had come; Jesus entered in and became one of us. One we could recognize, one we could relate to, and one we knew could understand us. Our God who cried, laughed, bruised, worked, ate, found friends, and faced the hardness of a day.
This is the beauty of our faith. A King who knows us. The Lord who chose to be with us. Or as Hebrews states “a high priest who is [able] to sympathize with our weaknesses”. This is our blessed gift. The freedom of salvation. Not from some distant wisdom or unreachable cosmos. No, before us we have Jesus, full of empathy and hope. Jesus who became flesh and dwelt among us.
